Subcontracting

While CTS strive to produce and manufacture all work in house, some specialised treatments must be done externally.

For these services, CTS have built strong and interdependent partnerships with reliable and dependant companies. CTS only use partners we have built trusting relationships with, in order to provide the best possible service for our clients.

C.E. Marking

Many products require CE marking before they can be sold in the EU. CE marking indicates that a product has been assessed by the manufacturer and deemed to meet EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements. It is required for products manufactured anywhere in the world that are then marketed in the EU.

Carlow Toolmaking Services ensure the quality of all products and machines are made and built to surpass the requirements of the CE Mark, and all relevant documentation is correctly filled out and store until needed.

Water Jet Cutting

A water jet cutter, also known as a water jet or waterjet, is an industrial tool capable of cutting a wide variety of materials using an extremely high-pressure jet of water, or a mixture of water and an abrasive substance

Benefits of Water Jet Cutting:

  • No material distortion

  • No material limitations

  • No Heat Affected Zone

  • No hazardous waste

Anodizing

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. Aluminum is ideally suited to anodizing, although other nonferrous metals, such as magnesium and titanium, also can be anodized.

Benefits of Anodizing:

  • Abrasion Resistant

  • Easy Upkeep

  • Erosion Resistant

  • Electrical Insulation

Laser Welding

Laser welding is a welding technique used to join pieces of metal or thermoplastics through the use of a laser. The beam provides a concentrated heat source, allowing for narrow, deep welds and high welding rates.

Benefits of Laser Welding:

  • Speed and flexibility

  • Deep, narrow welds

  • Suitable for a range materials and thicknesses

Stainless Steel Fabrication

Stainless steel fabrication refers to the process of cutting and bending steel into usable structures. Although stainless steel costs more to strengthen and harden, compared to other metals, it is relatively malleable to bend and fold.

Benefits of Stainless Steel Fabrication:

  • Ease of Fabrication

  • Corrosion Resistant

  • Fire and Heat Resistant

  • Long-Term Value

Project Managment

Project management is the use of specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to deliver something of value to people. Each project is unique and differs from routine operations—the ongoing activities of an organization—because projects reach a conclusion once the goal is achieved.

Benefits of Project Management:

  • Clear, organized plans improve team collaboration

  • Defining everyone’s role eliminates confusion

  • Well-defined goals improve team effectiveness

  • Project management tools help increase efficiency
